Amra-Faye Wright and Carol Woods are headed home to Chicago on July 13. The actresses will resume the roles of Velma Kelly and Matron “Mama” Morton at the Ambassador Theatre.
Wright has played Kelly previously on Broadway as well as in the West End and in South Africa. She is currently starring in the Japan production performing the role in Japanese. Her other stage credits include Footloose, Grease and A Chorus Line.
Woods has performed on and off in Chicago on Broadway, as well as on tour, for the last thirteen years. She has also appeared in The Full Monty, Smokey Joe’s Café and The Goodbye Girl.
Chicago currently stars Ruthie Henshall as Roxie Hart, Colman Domingo as Billy Flynn, Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Terri White as Matron “Mama” Morton and Tom Riis Farrell as Amos Hart.
